Collage Alphabet Challenge: Letters A through C

Art

Hey friend! Have you ever been stuck in a rut feeling unimaginative, uninspired or unmotivated? Yeah, me too.

For basically the last 20 weeks of my pregnancy I had no desire to create, share or express myself through any sort of art medium. And then I hit 21 weeks this past Sunday and I felt a sudden urge to make a collage. I had such a blast creating it, even though I was a little rusty, that I decided to impose a challenge on myself: to create a collage for each letter of the alphabet and at least 2 of the elements within the collage have to start with the corresponding letter.

Thinking back on it, sometimes I think I bit off more that I can chew because it’s hard to create within a specific letter parameter, but wow, the results have been amazing. I’ve been exploring new ideas and styles like never before and it’s been a joy creating again. This challenge was just what I needed to break out of my rut.

Below is what I created for the letters A through C. Before you look at the caption below, guess what the corresponding letter elements are!

The letter A is for Agatha Christie and alpacas.

The letter B is for barbers, buildings and birds.

The letter C is for cats, cars and craters.

I feel that the “You are enough” message needs to be spread more, and I love that I can do it in a cute way that also shows that I enjoy to embroider.
